NOTE: Biscuit Health is currently unable to treat patients who have had a major systemic (anaphylactic) reaction to bug bites. As a telemedicine clinic, we are unable to provide acute care should a major systemic reaction occur.

Our clinic would be happy to refer you to an in-person allergist if you have previously experienced a major systemic reaction and would like to get treated.

Please discuss this with your Biscuit Health clinician during intake.

Hymenoptera allergies, or commonly known as venom allergies, are a reaction to foreign substances introduced to your body. The following insect bites or stings can be treated with Venom Immunotherapy (VIT).

  • Honeybees

  • Yellow Jackets

  • Hornets

  • Paper Wasps

  • Fire Ants

  • Mosquitoes

Venom Immunotherapy (VIT) delivered sublingually has been proven to be effective in reducing Large Local Reactions (LLRs) in patients who may be allergic to venom from insect bites or stings and carries a good safety profile with no adverse events reported.

Consult your Biscuit Health clinician about including VIT in your treatment plan if you would like to get treated for your honeybee, wasp, ant, or mosquitoe allergies.
