Eczema refers to a variety of skin conditions, many of which are related to allergies. The most common form of Eczema is Atopic Dermatitis (AD), which is often triggered as a response to food or environmental allergens. Contact Dermatitis (CD) is the 2nd most common form of Eczema and is typically triggered as a reaction to allergens and irritants such as soap, detergent, clothing, or metals [Parikh, 2024].

Traditional Eczema treatment plans rely on preventing exposure to allergens and irritants that set off skin problems. Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) has been proven to be a safe and well-tolerated form of treatment for patients with Eczema. In patients with Atopic Dermatitis (AD) associated with allergies, skin lesions completely disappeared after 24 months of treatment for 73.7% of patients [Mastrandrea, 2000].
