How To Administer Your Drops
Prime the pump by pressing down firmly and quickly a few times until some solution comes out. The pumps are designed to administer a metered dose. The metered dose will dispense when the pump is pressed all the way down (you will meet some resistance at the end). If you experience any issues with your pumps, please reach out to us via the Biscuit Health mobile app.
Place the tip of the pump under your tongue, and press down firmly to administer a drop. Repeat this process to administer the desired number of drops.
Hold the drops under your tongue for 2 minutes. After holding, you may swallow or spit the drops out.
Refrain from food or beverage intake, or rinsing your mouth for 5 minutes.
Periods of Treatment
For patients new to our treatment, you will go through a Titration Period. The purpose of this process is to slowly get your body used to our treatment. This helps reduce any potential minor side effects, and will last between 30 - 45 days. Your specialist will let you know whether you need to follow our Standard, or Alternate Titration Period.
Once you have completed your titration period, you will continue with a maintenance dosage for the rest of your treatment period (typically 2 years). Our team will check in with you every 3-months on progress and make adjustments as needed.

Maintenance Period:
Once you've finished your titration period, you'll move onto your Maintenance Period Dosage. This is where you begin the full strength treatment for your allergies. Once you reach this step, you will administer 5x Red Drops Daily.

Minor Side Effects or Reactions:
Minor side effects may occur during your build-up phase and are normal; they typically occur within minutes or hours of administering your drops. On average, a third of patients taking sublingual immunotherapy may experience minor side effects.

Sublingual immunotherapy very rarely causes life-threatening allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, however, below is some guidance to identify and respond to a severe reaction.
